Heh. No i did not, sir, although my girlfriend would beg to differ. I figure we have enough water/food for 3 months now. I'd like to have a years worth by the end of february.

I found that coupon yesterday and bought a mattress 20% off!!!

I didn't think of buying food at big lots because I was concerned about expiration dates. Ill take another look though.

As far as canned fish goes I was concerned about the levels of mercury in canned and fresh tuna. Evidently they are very high. Sardines don't absorb near as much mercury and they are cheap, a great source of protein and fatties acids. I'm not sure how long they store though.

I think I spend more money at Big Lots than any other store. Yes, you must be very careful with expirations for stuff being purchased for storage, not immediate consumption.

But, you can work this to your advantage. Whenever I find expired stuff on the shelf, the manager will cut the price in half. So for stuff that is not particularly expiration-sensitive, (a bottle of ketchup, a box of corn flakes, etc) you can save even more.

Thanks. I think I'm gonna go buy 100 bucks worth of food at Big Lots for 80 bucks then use the 20 dollar savings for ammo at Wally World.
